FAQs

I am a beginner. What should I wear to my first class?
Wear comfortable clothing suitable for dancing. A flamenco practice skirt is ideal but not required initially. For footwear, you can use character shoes or sturdy shoes with 1”-2” heels, which are widely available on Amazon. As you progress, you might consider investing in traditional flamenco shoes.
We recommend purchasing flamenco shoes from Spain. Here are some suggested websites and brands:
Brands we trust: Gallardo, Don Flamenco, and ArteFyl.

Where are you located?
We are at Tumbao Latin Dance, rear entrance, 589 Park Avenue, Worcester, MA.
Can I park in the rear?
Yes, parking is available in the rear. You may also park across the street at the bike store after 5 PM.
Do I need previous dance experience?
Not at all! Flamenco is for everyone—regardless of age, body type, or experience. It’s especially empowering for women and girls, helping to boost self-esteem and foster a positive body image. Many students start their Flamenco journey later in life, even in their 40s or 50s, and have gone on to perform at local festivals. It’s never too late to begin!
Does your team perform?
Yes! The Flamenco Worcester dance team performs at various local festivals and special events throughout the year, including the Worcester County Dance Festival at The Hanover Theatre and more.
We also host an annual Flamenco Showcase, FLAMENCO! Tradition, Art & Passion, where students of all levels share their progress and passion for Flamenco with family and friends. Advanced students showcase their artistry in a vibrant celebration of Flamenco’s rich traditions. Together, we cultivate a supportive community of learning and artistic self-expression.
